As they say in France:

Who The Fuck is this bitch?

Tessa Skara (they/she) is a queer comedian, musician, and writer making funny shit for the LBGTQs and beyond.

Tessa has been a mainstay of the NYC alt-stand-up comedy scene for years and currently works as a TV writer and actor. Tessa is a nonbinary lesbian (we can be both!!) originally from British Columbia, Canada, and currently based in Brooklyn. Named “The Goddess of Confessional Comedy Rock” by Bedford and Bowery, Tessa performs their unique blend of stand-up and music all over New York City at venues like Joe’s Pub, Carolines on Broadway, The Bell House, Littlefield, Ars Nova, Union Hall, New York Comedy Club, The Duplex, The Brooklyn Comedy Festival, The New York Comedy Festival and Every Shitty Gay Bar In Brooklyn. She’s headlined Caroline’s on Broadway with her uniquely musical stand-up hour entitled Rock Goddess and at Union Hall with her new hour Gay Songs for the End of Times. Previously, Tessa was a part of the musical sketch group Pop Roulette, with whom she was named one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch, performed at sketch festivals around North America, and whose musical "Amazing Earth" ran for a year at UCBT Chelsea and UCBT LA. As an actor you can see Tessa on Crashing, The Detour, High Maintenance, Little America, and playing multiple roles on the new Paramount Plus show The Harper House. Tessa took part in the 2020 CBS Comedy Showcase in Los Angeles and is currently developing their own animated tv show with Bento Box Entertainment (and yes, it will have music).

“[Tessa Skara] lights NYC ablaze with her hard-rock aesthetic, scathing original musical songs, and white-hot star power.“ — Time Out New York
